Olen ammattitanssija, teen lähinnä tanssijantöitä ja nykyteatteriesityksiä. Olen opiskellut jonkin verran laulua ja temppuilua.

Olen kiinnostunut elokuvasta taiteenmuotona. Editointi ja läheisyys mahdollistavat maailmankuvan mullistumisen herkästi ja pienillä eleillä.
Olen Helsingissä asuva freelance esiintyjä. Valmistuin BA Dance Performance -ohjelmasta Tukholman taiteellisesta yliopistosta 2019, ja Teatterikorkeakoulusta ruotsinkielisen näyttelijäntaiteen maisteriohjelmasta keväällä 2024. Työskentelen suomeksi, ruotsiksi ja englanniksi. Olen esiintynyt mm Deborah Hayn, Ian Kalerin, Sara Grotenfeltin, Judith-Sanchez Ruizin, Mattias Anderssonin, Pipsa Enqvistin ja Suvi Kemppaisen teoksissa. Esiintyjäntyön lisäksi koollekutsun poikkitaiteellisia työryhmiä. Luomme esityksiä joissa yhdistyvät tanssitaide, kuvataide, äänitaide, runous ja teatteri. Viimeisimpiä teoksiamme ovat Copy Pasta Cut ja Ex Machina. Ruumiillisuus ja improvisaatio ovat keskeisiä kaikessa taiteellisessa työssäni. Esiintyjäntyön lisäksi opetan tanssia eri konteksteissa.
Olen kiinnostunut kaikenlaisista esiintyjäntöistä, mutta olen aika tarkka eettisistä arvoistani; kuten esimerkiksi taiteen yhteiskunnallisesta merkityksestä tasa-arvon mahdollistajana (tämän ei tarvitse toteutua teoksen sisältönä tai tematiikkana, mutta tasa-arvoisuuden ja moninaisuuden lisääminen on oltava perustavanlaatuisia arvoja koollekutsujalle, huolimatta teoksen estetiikasta), jotta esiintyisin teoksessa. Tanssitaustan omaavana töyskentelen ruumiillisesti, en esim psykoanalyysin kautta. Juttelen mielellään lisää työtavoista ja arvoista sähköpostitse;

Corinne Mustonen (she/they) is a dancer, an actor and a writer. She loves contemporary art.
Corinne is commited to practising, sharing and facilitating multidisciplinary, corporeal art. All of the art she makes and/or organises, derives from or relates intimately to the body; to her physical body, to other bodies, to otherwordly bodies and the contexts that these bodies manifest through.
Art is for everyone.
Corinne is utterly scared of distancing herself by using outdated methods such as irony, posing and narration. She is obsessed with poesis; unconventional, irresistable streams of thoughts and moves that can’t be rationalised. She returns to the imaginary and the unconscious as material. She seeks inspiration in inconvenient ways, by jumping fences of prisons, biting multicoloured apples without bying them, singing manuals of household machines and dating boys.
Corinne is getting quite tired of fourth wave feminist identity obsessing, she thinks it’s time to get back to the craft and the undefinable, but this time by doing it right; by inviting everyone.
She is a restless artist, but a committed colleague. She will do everything the artwork asks for (not everything a director asks for though, unless it’s serving the artwork).
Corinne loves dancing passionately and forever. She is sorry to all previous and coming lovers who will never be her primary partners; when dance calls – no matter the time or location, she’ll be there.
Recently Corinne has taken up sleep and climbing, like most of her colleagues. She finds both completely pointless and silly in the most amusing of ways. She wishes everyone could spend their days doing as unreasonable activities as climbing fake rocks and dreaming. She dreams of having lots of testosterone, a strong jaw and being great at flute and muay thai (which would require not getting sad from being hit every day).
Corinne loves attending art schools, as art schools in scandinavia are the easiest places to be in the world. She holds a BA in Dance performance from Stockholm University of the arts and an MA in Acting from Helsinki university of the arts. She has studied multiple writing courses both in her BA and MA in addition to studying performing. She has worked with and for a various amount of curious people; see CV .
Besides being an artist Corinne is practising winning in all kinds of games, forced optimism, being a good friend (and a bad lesbian), and staying sane in the midst of the apocalypse. All of these activities require a lot of effort in her slippery mind and she is truly trying her best, even if she forgot to respond to your latest message.
